The Fairmont Group is a an independent investment banking advisory firm headed by veteran international banker Walter Jackson "Jack" Helm. Mr. Helm has over 25 years of experience in all facets of corporate finance. He was trained at Citicorp in New York as a Financial Institutions specialist and in Lehman Brothers' Financial Institutions and Healthcare Groups.
A german corporate specialist with sector expertise in financial institutions and healthcare, Mr. Helm was transferred to Lehman Brothers’ Frankfurt office in 1988. He re-established Wasserstein Perella’s German mergers and acquisitions practice from 1995 until the sale of the firm to Dresdner Bank in 2000. He resides in Virginia, is the father of three children, and has an avid interest in history and current US politics.
The Fairmont Group maintains relationships with the independent investment banking firm of Hock & Co. in Frankfurt which is headed by ex-Lehman Brothers colleague, Dr. Robert Hock.
The Fairmont Group also enjoys an extensive working relationship with Folgat AG of Frankfurt, Germany. Folgat is focussed on direct investment opportunities in the Russian Republic and Ukraine.
